Burns Rowatt are a husband and wife photography team based in County Durham. Whilst they are both skilled and creative photographers with a variety of experience, Claire covers weddings and lifestyle work and Graeme carries out all of the commercial photography commissions.
Claire and Graeme needed a more structured approach to their marketing activity. They were not short of creative marketing ideas but by their own admission they were short on planning and follow through! They also needed their marketing materials updating and some help with setting up email newsletters so they could start keeping in touch with their contacts, clients and prospects.
Over several months Claire and Graeme came to the shed for marketing success sessions, during which time a marketing strategy and action plan was explored, agreed on and devised. We also worked on some new marketing materials for them such as a series of folding business cards to demonstrate the range of styles or photography they offered, a wedding photography brochure for the up and coming wedding fairs they were attending plus a series of email templates.
Graeme and Claire now each have a marketing action plan to follow which gives them a good blend of regular general activity and promotional campaigns to niche markets in order to win more commissions in what is undoubtedly a very competitive market place. The new range of marketing materials, which have evolved and enhanced their existing brand identity, have given them eye catching ways of communicating with their target clients and help then stand out from the crowd when networking or attending events and wedding fairs.
