PENNY PRINT

Penny Print are a small but perfectly formed lithographic printers head up by the very lovely Penny Davison. They’re a family run business and pride themselves on their customer focused and proactive approach which helps to give them the edge in a very competitive market place.

CLIENT BRIEF

In a nutshell, Penny and her team needed a much more up to date brand identity. Various attempts had been made over the years, nothing which really communicated effectively what Penny Print are all about and certainly nothing that they were happy with and felt confident in using. For a print company to not have a range of printed marketing materials that they are happy with and could proactively use just wasn’t good.

In addition, Penny felt like she needed some help with structuring her marketing activity and in looking at how she found new clients and work.

OUR SOLUTION

Working closely with Penny we developed a new brand identity which is both modern and progressive but which has a solid, traditional tone in parts. A bold colour scheme and creative typographical approach was all part of this first phase of branding work. We then moved onto the company stationery set which includes a rather natty range of postcards for Penny to use to send little messages to clients and prospects – much more eye catching than the usual compliment slips!

We have also started working with Penny to look at her overall marketing and sales strategy and how she can create systems and methods of both holding onto her existing clients and creating new ones in some niche areas that we have identified.

THE RESULTS

It’s still a work in progress with other marketing materials, both on and off line in the pipeline and a marketing strategy and plan which is currently underway, but Penny is delighted with her new brand and marketing materials and finally feels confident when handing out her promotional literature at events or mailing it to a prospective new client. Some of the systems that we are putting in place are starting to take effect and she is already receiving positive feedback about her new brochure and cards.
