THINKING DIGITAL CONFERENCE 2022

CLIENT BRIEF

We were initially approached by Herb Kim, Founder of Thinking Digital, to offer marketing and social media support for this highlight event of the NE tech sector’s calendar, but design of all the event collateral was soon added to the project.

After looking at literature for the previous conference, we realised that there were multiple versions of their logo in use and a lack of consistency in other areas of the brand. We suggested that consolidating the brand would be a good place to start to give the conference a stronger look out in the marketplace.

OUR SOLUTION

While considering the consolidation of the brand, we suggested that a refresh of the logo would help to bring it up to date. A more modern typeface that would appeal to the digital savvy audience was chosen, along with a tweak to the brand colours and the addition of a colour blend that utilised the existing brand acid green graduating to a warm orange. The end result was a more modern, ‘digital’ feel to the brand that better captured the exciting feel of the conference. We then chose a new campaign picture that was used as a posterised image with the new colour blend and this was used extensively on all materials to help create a really strong brand.

As well as what we show here in the pictures, we also created a hashtag icon that was used widely across the collateral including a whole range of social graphics for everything from announcing speakers to general conference announcements, a fully branded Mailchimp template and all the conference Power Point slides.

We also offered some advice for changes to the existing website to add strength to the brand and give it a more welcoming feel.

THE RESULTS

A very happy client and lots of positive feedback on the brand. It looked significantly different to the previous year, yet was more evolution than revolution.
