Hi I’m Sarah and I am tent’s marketeer
I help our clients to business success by giving them sound, no nonsense marketing support and expertise. As well as all of my background experience which I talk about below, I am responsible for generating business for tent and know what it’s like to be a small business owner juggling working both IN and ON the business. I’m just like you basically and therefore I have a realistic and first hand idea of what you go through, and sometimes struggle with, to successfully market your business.
Before joining tent in 2007 I worked for 13 years in the cultural and charitable sector, working in and running marketing departments and as a board member for organisations such as Tyne & Wear Museums, Oxfam, Dance City, Live Theatre, Audiences North East and balletLORENT. I have a wide range of experience in marketing (strategic and hands on), media relations, events management and fundraising. From direct mail to campaign planning, social media and blogging to client care and development, I’ve pretty much done it all and learned a lot along the way.
What else? Apart from my well known love of food, cooking and eating (I’m happiest when pootling around the kitchen creating new dishes), I’m a bit crafty and enjoy making things for our home. I LOVE having a garden – it’s a new obsession of mine, I’m the proud and active mother of one boisterous and magical little boy and I also love getting involved in and attending community events and activities in the village and surrounding area.
