Today marks the 20th anniversary of TENT!
Back in 2005, when we first opened our doors, the world looked very different. Facebook had just left college campuses, the iPhone hadn’t yet been launched, and brand and graphic design was still mostly an offline, print-driven industry, where print advertising, brochures and leaflets were king.
Fast forward twenty years and so much has changed, in technology, in business, and in the world around us.
Through it all, TENT has had the privilege of working with over 350 clients, from small start-ups and local businesses to larger organisations with national and international reach.
Each project has been different, but the thread that runs through them all is creativity, collaboration, and the chance to make someone’s ideas come to life.
The business has evolved too. From an office in Gateshead International Business Centre, we now works from a purpose-built garden studio next to our home, our creative hub surrounded by green space, designed for focus and inspiration. Complete with wood burning stove and office hound Albus!
Of course, two decades in business hasn’t been without challenges. TENT has weathered the storms of recession, Brexit uncertainty, and the global pandemic. Each of these moments brought their own pressures and curveballs, but also opportunities to adapt and change. The loyalty and passion of our clients and the joy of creating work that really matters to them, has kept us moving forward.
Looking back, it’s been an incredible journey filled with problem-solving, experimentation, and plenty of fun along the way.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to keep doing what we’ve always done best: helping businesses tell their stories clearly, creatively, and with character.
To all the clients, collaborators and friends we’ve met along the way: thank you. Here’s to the next chapter!
NOTE: The picture is from a branding project in 2006. Not that long ago, I discovered that Alnwick Gardens had bought the brand and were using it as one of their catering offerings and it was nice to see how long this brand had lasted for.
